We are seeking for sponsorship for EUCALYPTUS 2018, to be held from 17 to 21 September 2018 at Le Corum, Convention Center of Montpellier in France.

We expect 200-300 participants from worldwide. EUCALYPTUS 2018 is hosted and sponsored by CIRAD, INRA, IRD and Montpellier SupAgro.

Dr Jean-Paul LACLAU(CIRAD, UMR Eco&Sols) is the local chair of the conference. EUCALYPTUS 2018 will be the ninth internationalconference on a successful series dealing with breeding and management of eucalypt plantations after Bordeaux (1990), Hobart (1995), Salvador (1997), Valdivia (2001), Aveiro (2004), Durban (2007), Porto Seguro (2011) and Nanning (2015). It is thus the second conference in Europe, 28 years after the first in Bordeaux. Research institutes in Montpellier have a long history of collaboration in Forestry and Agronomy with institutes, universities and ONGs located in tropical and Mediterranean countries, which will facilitate the participation of scientists from developing countries at large, where the management of eucalypt plantations under global changes is a major issue.

EUCALYPTUS 2018 will be a multidisciplinary event, bringing together scientists and managers of forest plantations. Recent advances in genetics, silviculture, ecophysiology, biotechnology, remote sensing, soil science, ecology, and social sciences, with potential applications for the management of eucalypt plantations, will be presented. Only plenary sessions have been programmed to foster scientific exchanges across discipline boundaries, in order to face the challenge of adaptation of breeding and management strategies to global changes.
